Who We Are

LoadSpec is an HVAC load calculation consulting firm based in San Antonio, TX, founded by Seve Lara. We specialize in producing ACCA-compliant Manual J, S, and D reports for HVAC contractors, home builders, and homeowners nationwide.

The name LoadSpec reflects what we do: we spec the load. Precisely, defensibly, and without shortcuts.

Why We Started

Too many HVAC systems are sized by gut feel — rules of thumb that don't account for the actual thermal characteristics of a specific home. The result is equipment that's too big, too small, or connected to ductwork that can't deliver air where it needs to go.

LoadSpec exists to fix that. Every report we produce gives contractors the data they need to size equipment correctly and design systems that actually work — not just pass inspection and get out the door.

What We Use

Every report is produced using ACCA-approved Wrightsoft software — the same industry-standard platform used by serious load calculation professionals. No generic online tools. No spreadsheets. Wrightsoft, Manual J 8th Edition, and AHRI-verified matchups on every job.
