What is Manual D?

Proper ductwork is the final piece of a correctly designed HVAC system. Manual D — the ACCA standard for residential duct design — ensures that the right amount of conditioned air reaches every room in the house, delivered at the right pressure.

Undersized or poorly designed duct systems are one of the leading causes of comfort complaints. Hot and cold spots, excessive static pressure, noise, and poor humidity control are all symptoms of duct systems that were never properly designed.

LoadSpec produces Manual D reports that include full duct layout, sizing, grille and register sizing, static pressure calculations, and CFM targets per register. Compatible with flex, metal, ductboard, and other duct materials.

Pricing: Manual D is $150 per project. Full J, S, and D package starting at $335 for homes 2,000 sq ft and under.
